Getting healthy: it's an awfully big goal to wrap your head around. For most of us, health is something that we take for granted, especially if we can do all the things we want and don't feel too terrible. But health can be fickle. Maybe one day when you're climbing a flight of stairs, you realize how out of shape you feel. Or you find yourself catching every cold and flu virus that your kid drags home from school.
And you ask yourself, "How did it happen - where did my health go?"
"And how am I going to get it back?"
Or even "Can I get it back?"
So hopefully, if you're here on my site, you're aspiring to better health. I can tell you that most chronic health conditions are related to lifestyle and environmental factors: diet, physical activity, smoking, and chronic stress. You may say to yourself, "I have to fix it all if I'm going to be healthy." I get it - that's a really daunting thought.
I'm here to tell you that it's not all or nothing. When I work with my clients, we might take a big picture approach and look at all the factors that are affecting their health. But we're breaking it down into manageable goals. And then I'm working with them to set the next goal. And the next.
I think a healthier you is doable. And I think it's an awesome journey to go on together.
